We have had several messages asking if you need to book an appointment for children’s fittings and shoes.
We will be offering appointments , if you want to book to guarantee a certain time to bring your child/ children in to be measured. You can come in without an appointment, but as we just don’t know how busy we are going to be in the first week of reopening there may be a wait. This is due to us limiting the number of customers at anyone time to keep everyone safe.
We do have a £2 fitting charge to measure your children’s feet but this is then taken off the price of the shoes when purchasing.
To book and appointment just send us a message through messenger and we can get you booked in.
We have all our measures in place to keep all of our staff and customers safe.
We have plenty of stock for Christmas presents from slippers to boots.
We can’t wait to see everyone again we have missed you.
Hi, lots of new rules to follow, and we are here for all your footwear needs.
From 15th June when we were allowed to reopen after three months of lockdown, we have always had our staff and customers safety as the most important priority.
Our staff all wear face masks or visors.
We have mobile fitting screens that we can use to put as a divider between yourselves and our staff as an added precaution.
We give every customer a pair of clean hosiery before trying on our footwear.
Any shoes tried on by customer but not purchased are sanitised ready for the next customer.
We only allow limited numbers in the store at anyone time.
Our stores are cleaned throughout the day.
We understand it can be a concern to go out, stay in, we can assure you that if you and your family need any footwear, we are still here for all your footwear needs, and have some fabulous new stock arriving daily.
Right the big kids have gone back and it’s safe for the little kids to come back in!
You can book an appointment between 10-3pm Monday to Friday if you wish but you don’t need an appointment to be seen. To book call 01543 263443.
If your child is just starting to pull themselves up and not quiet walking on their own we would suggest a cruiser type shoe. This is a soft shoe that still allows the foot plenty of movement whilst the feet are still developing. If your child is now walking a good few steps on their own then we can either fit cruisers or first shoes. First shoes are a little more firmer and designed to be a little more robust than cruisers and protect little feet when walking on hard surfaces.
When you come to us for your child’s first pair of shoes we want this to be a lovely experience for both parent and child. We have designated areas in our children’s department to enable safe distancing. Our staff will be wearing face visors or masks and we have a mobile screen that we place between the child and our staff to ensure as much distancing as possible, but where we can still measure your child’s feet.
Our staff are well trained and have years of experience in fitting children’s shoes, and will do there upmost to make the whole experience as calming and natural as possible in the current climate.
* Please note we operate a £2 measuring/ checking charge on all children’s shoes, however if you purchase from Friary Shoes the £2 is deducted from the price of the shoes.
We have a good selection now instore for both boys and girls so why not come and give us a try we would love to see you.
We want to advise you on what to expect once you come to visit us.
If you are coming into store with your children please ensure they are wearing socks.
We cannot measure or fit child’s shoes without their own socks.
We will have a greeter on the door to explain our new measures to keep you and our staff safe.
We will be limiting the amount of customers to a maximum of 30 in our Lichfield store so please only a maximum of 2 adults per famliy.
We have hand sanitiser at the front of the store and in our children’s department which will be available to use.
We ask if possible not to pick up shoes on display if you need anything our staff will be on hand to help.
Our staff will be wearing visors or face masks and sanitise hands after every customer.
We do take cash along with debit or credit cards payments.
We really appreciate your continued support and want to reassure you that we are taking all these measures for safety of our customers and staff.
Looking forward to seeing you all very soon 🤞
